Cookie Policy
Sentrel uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage. There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking anywhere in the product or on this website, which is why you are never asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

1. What we use, and nothing else
Every item below exists so you can stay signed in and see the right interface. Remove them and the product stops working, which is the definition the law uses for "strictly necessary".
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| access_token | Cookie | Keeps you signed in. Set server-side, not readable by JavaScript, and restricted to same-site requests. | 7 days |
| user_perms | Cookie | Tells the interface which modules your role can open, so the correct navigation renders before the server replies. Contains no credentials. | 7 days |
| nlp_token | Local storage | The session token, used to authorize requests from the browser to the API. | Until you sign out |
| impersonation:token, impersonation:ctx | Local storage | Present only while a support operator is working inside an account with authorization. Every action taken this way is written to the audit trail. | Until the session ends |
| chat session cache | Local storage | Keeps your recent assistant conversations listed without refetching them. | Until you sign out or clear it |
| sidebar:collapsed | Local storage | Remembers whether you collapsed the navigation rail. | Until cleared |
2. What we do not use
- No analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no product analytics, no session recording or heatmaps.
- No advertising or retargeting pixels, and no social media tracking.
- No cross-site tracking and no data brokers.
- No profiling, and no fingerprinting.
This is a statement about the code, not an aspiration. If it ever changes, this page changes first and consent is collected before anything is set.
3. Why there is no consent banner
Under Regulation 6(4) of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive, consent is not required for storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has asked for. Everything we set falls in that category, so there is nothing to consent to.
If we ever introduce anything beyond strictly necessary storage, we will ask first, the choice will be genuine, and refusing will be as easy as accepting.
4. Controlling storage yourself
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data through its settings. Signing out clears the session items listed above.
We honor a Global Privacy Control signal if your browser sends one. Since we do not sell or share personal information, it has nothing to switch off here.
